What makes Westpac statements different

Westpac is Australia's oldest bank, and its paper trail shows it: estate, audit and back-year work regularly surfaces Westpac statements from long before internet banking, in layouts that no template-based converter has ever seen. NoRekey reads each statement's own layout — and scanned paper goes through OCR with the same balance verification as a fresh NetBank PDF.

Current statements follow Australian conventions — DD/MM dates, debit and credit columns, DR-marked overdrawn balances — all normalised to ISO dates and signed decimals, reconciled against the statement's printed opening and closing figures before export.

Balanced against the statement
Every conversion is cross-checked against Westpac's opening and closing balances, so a mismatch surfaces before it reaches your books.
Originals deleted immediately
Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, never used for training, and the uploaded PDF is deleted the moment processing finishes.
