What makes RBC statements different

RBC statements use the Canadian convention of separate withdrawal and deposit columns with a balance alongside — and in Quebec they arrive in French, with Retraits and Dépôts headings. NoRekey reads the layout rather than the language, so French statements convert exactly like English ones: signs inferred from the columns, verified against the running balance.

RBC chequing statements can end with an appendix of cheque images. Those pages carry no transaction rows, and NoRekey treats them that way — the reconciliation against the statement's opening and closing balances proves nothing was invented from them and nothing was missed before them.

Balanced against the statement
Every conversion is cross-checked against RBC's opening and closing balances, so a mismatch surfaces before it reaches your books.
