My HDFC statement asks for a password — what is it?

Most HDFC e-statements use your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format; some use a customer-ID combination described in the email the statement arrived with. Enter it at upload and the file converts normally.

How are Dr and Cr amounts handled?

Dr (debit) becomes a negative amount and Cr (credit) positive, and every row is verified against the running balance — so the signs are checked, not assumed.

Are UPI and NEFT references kept?

Yes — the narration, including UPI, NEFT and IMPS reference numbers, is kept in the description column of every export format.

Do you keep my HDFC statement or password?
